The characters mentioned below, Margo and Q, belong to John Green. This is purely fiction.
Just as I had thought, Taylor's room was a Pinterest board that had come to life. On one side of the room there was a wall of Polaroid pictures. Most of the pictures were just plain shots of her and her cat,Meredith. There was also a picture of her and Margo when they were both freshmen in high school. Although it was three years ago, Taylor looked unrecognizable. Maybe it was because she didn't used to apply a lot of eye shadow then. The other walls were just shelves some of which were stocked with books while other remained empty.
The air is Taylor's room is warm. It smelt just like how Taylor smelt. A mixture of lavender and apples.
Margo who was in the other room feeding Meredith came back. She had a grin on her face.
She looks even beautiful with a smile on her face. I wondered.
"Meredith is already eating so now our problem is over,"she whispered into my ear as I could smell her breathe which mainly consisted of apples.
"Our problem is not over yet," I replied as my eyes darted towards the direction of Taylor's bed.
"Don't worry because she is a heavy sleeper."
Tay was actually a heavy sleeper. She once slept for three straight lessons without a single budge. Tonight, she was also snoring. I was both shocked and delighted. Shocked because I never knew Taylor being the 'it' girl could actually snore like this. I wanted to record this and then share it with everyone but I didn't want her to have an Ultimate Bad Day the next day.
Margo went into the pocket of her hood and dug out the Veet cream and glanced at me as she gave me a wicked smile. I smiled back.
She squeezed a generous amount of the white cream onto the index finger of her right arm. I took in a deep breathe as I watched Margo place the creamed finger delicately onto Taylor's left eyebrow. She spread the amount fairly across the brow. Taylor was still asleep but this time her snoring was becoming louder and louder. She squeezed te bottle again and now did the same to the other brow.
She then turned and looking at me as motioned for the Kleenex that was on Taylor's desk. The tissue looked used cause it was crumpled and damp. Maybe it had some Taylor tears in it. I did as I was told and gave the tissue to Margo.
She mouthed "thanks" as I replied with a nod.
In 10 seconds, Taylor's eyebrows were non-existent just like her friendship with Margo. Margo walked to me and handed me the Kleenex which was now covered with hair.
"What for?" I asked
She smiled as if she was telling me to wait.
She walked towards Taylor's desk and bent over as she wrote something on a sticky note. After she was done writing, she lay the pencil on the paper and stuck the note onto Tay's PC. She signaled me that the time was up and it was time to leave. So I went to the window where we heard earlier passed through as we broke in. By the time my right leg was outside while my left leg was still in Taylor's bedroom, Meredith had eaten almost half of the fish.
Margo tugged my leg making me to lose my balance and fall. I landed on the flower garden on top of Margo. I stared deep into her eyes as she stared back at me. My body had caged hers and I could feel the electricity as our clothes touched.
This was the moment. The moment that I have been looking forward to in my entire life.
Just when my lips were moving for hers, Margo looked at me and then said,"Umm...what're you doing?"
"Aah...nothing!" with every inch of confusion.
"We are running late Q. Cause this is just our first victim."
She pushed me off her. I landed on some of the tulips on the garden. Margo stood up and stretch out her hand towards me.
I took it and before I knew it I was standing.
"Q, I hope this night will always be remembered," she whispered into my ear.
"Yeah Margo"
